Thanks for taking the time to look through my website! I'm Greg and I am a Front End Developer from Lancashire. Currently I am working in-house for a financial company called Ocean Finance, having spent the last 3 years at a digital agency.
A little bit of info about me
I graduated University with a degree in Multimedia & Internet Technologies back in 2009 and ever since I have been working as a full time Front End Web Developer. I have worked for design agencies & also for in-house development teams during my career. Currently I am working with a fantastic team at Ocean Finance.
In my current role I work closely with other Front End Developers, Backend Developers & Project Managers to improve the Ocean Finance website and Loan/Credit Card Application forms we have built. I manage my workload using Azure and I do my development using Visual Studios 2019 (.net) and Visual Studio Code.
My core skillset covers a broad range of languages across the front end development spectrum. In recent times I have been working a lot more with JavaScript (native) and with Vue.js for front end applications, however my strength will always be in creating lightning fast reliable Wordpress websites.

Outside of work I am happily married to my beautiful wife Lucy going on 5 years now. In my spare time I like to go on walks and days out with Lucy and our dog Rosie. I am also a massive Manchester United fan and love watching the football at the weekend.

Junior Front End Developer
Whilst finishing my final year at University I worked for Gooey Creative as a work placement during my studies. At the end of the placement I was offered a full time position as a junior front end developer.

Front End Developer & IT Support
After finishing my placement at Gooey Creative and moving to Manchester full time I got a new position working for a private hospital as a Web Developer and IT Support Technician.

In my next position I went back working for a design agency. On a monthly basis I would be building 2/3 websites (wordpress) and assisting on internal projects.

Having moved to a new area with my Wife I had the opportunity to join Think Money Group as a fulltime Front End Developer. This was a fantastic role where I worked in an agile team working on Loans, Credit Cards & Car Insurance application forms. This is where my JavaScript & Jquery skills improved a lot.

I was approached to join a newly formed agency and head up the development department. On a day to day basis I would be managing our roster of 30+ clients creating websites and managing our dedicated UK Fast Server. You can read more about my appointment here. After 2 years of service I was promoted to Head of Development.

Having worked at Think Money Group previously I was lucky enough to return there working for another part of the company called Ocean Finance. This is my current role and I am having a fantastic time so far. On a day to day basis I am working with the latest JavaScript Technologies and creating/updating our Front End Applications.
